Carnival Season is finally here again!

This is such a wonderful time of the year here in Mobile. Growing up as a small child in Birmingham and then moving to Mobile later in life has been a blast. One of the first things that any new Mobilian will learn is that Mobile Alabama is the actual birthplace of Mardi Gras. Sorry to hurt your feelings but yes it is very true. We are the home of the original Carnival Celebration and that is still true today. Mobile’s Mardi Gras is a very unique experience and one that everyone should enjoy at least once in their lifetime.

Fort Conde Inn is in a great location in the heart of downtown Mobile and we are very close to the parade route and all of the festivities. There is one little difference in our hotel and all of the others downtown though, and that being said it is a BIG difference. We are off the beaten path as they call it, located in Fort Conde Village right off of Royal Street and just far enough away from the excitement that you can enjoy, relax and have a very cozy place to rest your head at night after you have engulfed yourself in all of the fun of Mobile’s Mardi Gras.

We do have rooms still available for Mardi Gras and the rates are fabulous to say the least. Mardi Gras falls on Tuesday February 21st this year. We have rooms available from Friday February 17th all the way until Fat Tuesday! Our rates are all within the 200 dollar range and our rooms are all very upscale and luxurious. Along with your stay you will get a complimentary gourmet breakfast cooked fresh each morning by Chef Jeremy. Also don’t fret about getting your hair messed up or your gown torn while on your way to the carnival ball you will be going to. We have an Acura MDX shuttle that will be happy to drop you off right at the front door and even pick you back up after the evening has elapsed.
